About Ariel Cohen

Recognized as the top selling broker in Lower Manhattan and among the best in New York City, Ariel Cohen is a fiercely committed real estate professional with a proven track record of closing deals and exceeding his clients' expectations. As the founder of The Ariel Cohen Team at Douglas Elliman, which he launched in 2005, Cohen leads a group of skillful and dynamic brokers in representing buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants and developers and completing deals at new developments and re-sale properties. With Cohen at the helm, the team has sold and rented over 500 properties totaling over a billion dollars in neighborhoods across the city.

Cohen entered the world of New York City real estate in 2005 and quickly joined the ranks of Douglas Elliman's top-producing agents, building his career and reputation with hard work, dedication and drive. In addition to being named among the top 75 real estate brokers in New York City by The Real Deal for the past four years, Cohen was also awarded Douglas Elliman Chairman's award in 2009 and 2010 and received the PREA GCI in 2010 for ranking among the top 100 sales agents nationwide, among other accolades. Coupled with his strong sales performance, these awards are a reflection of Cohen's vast knowledge of Manhattan real estate and ability to create opportunities for his clients in up, down, and volatile markets. He has established a strong referral base of satisfied customers that grows with each transaction.

Prior to 2005, Cohen was the national sales director of a women's sportswear line. Born in Casablanca, Morocco and raised in Los Angeles, Cohen is fluent in French and relates to people of all backgrounds.
